2021 CALENDAR > EMÍLIO RIBAS VOLUNTEERING
CHALLENGE
In the VER (Emílio Ribas Volunteer Program) calendars that preceded this edition, the artwork was created by patients at the Emílio Ribas Institute of Infectious Diseases. However, in 2020, due to the pandemic, the institution's volunteers were unable to produce this material alongside patients.

SOLUTION
As I had already done some work for the institution - including the graphic design and layout of the 2019 and 2020 calendars -, I was invited to participate in developing, in addition to the design, the artwork for the 2021 edition .
CONCEPT
The illustrations were created based on the 12 most meaningful words for VER's volunteers. Seeking a light, joyful final result that expressed feelings like love, faith, and unity, I developed the illustrations by combining watercolor with gestural strokes. To increase the institution's profitability, I suggested other visual pieces, such as paintings, t-shirts, and moleskines. I also developed their promotional materials.
